On March 13, 2026, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chicago hosted the first Meet-Up of Thai Professors and Students in the Chicago and Nearby Areas in 2026.

On this occasion, Consul-General Bacharee Puengpak delivered welcoming remarks. Afterwards, representatives from the Consulate-General, Thai Trade Center in Chicago, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Chicago Office each provided an overview of their operations. They answered questions and shared information on activities relevant to Thai students.

Approximately 40 Thai faculty members and students from Chicago and nearby areas attended the event. In addition to gaining a better understanding of the roles of Team Thailand in Chicago, participants had the opportunity to meet, exchange ideas, build networks, and enjoy a meal together in a friendly atmosphere.
