On December 7, 2025, Acting Consul-General Varapol Chensavasdijai and spouse, together with Consul Urasee Thiratangsathira Jeong, the Director of the Thai Trade Center in Chicago, and the Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Chicago Office, attended a commemorative ceremony at Wat Dhammaram in Chicago. The event honored the Birthday Anniversary of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Thailand’s National Day, and National Father’s Day. In the latter part of the ceremony, the Acting Consul-General presided over the National Father’s Day observance and the award presentation recognizing 66 students from the Sunday School of Wat Dhammaram who completed programs in Thai language, Thai classical music, and Thai classical dance. The celebration concluded with traditional music and dance performances by the students, creating a meaningful and culturally rich tribute.

On December 2, 2025, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chicago, in collaboration with the Thai Trade Center and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Chicago Office, hosted a reception celebrating the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand. The event commemorated the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great—also observed as Thailand’s Father’s Day—and featured a special program honoring Her Majesty the late Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother. Guests joined a one-minute silence and viewed short documentary tributes, marking a heartfelt remembrance of Her Majesty’s legacy and contributions.

On November 25th, 2025, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chicago held a remembrance ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the passing of His Majesty King Vajiravudh, Rama VI. Acting Consul-General Varapol Chensavasdijai presided over the event, joined by officers and staff members of Team Thailand in Chicago.
