Thai Consul-General in Chicago Visits Michigan to Make Merit and Strengthen Community Ties

On March 22, 2026, Consul-General Bacharee Puengpak, together with consulate officials, visited Wat Buddha Vihara (the Midwest Buddhist Meditation Center: MBMC) to pay respects, participate in merit-making activities, and receive updates on the temple’s activities, as well as the well-being of the Thai community in Michigan.
Afterwards, the Consul-General visited Wat Paknam Michigan (the Buddhist Meditation Center: BMC) to participate in merit-making and almsgiving activities alongside members of the Buddhist community in Michigan. On the same occasion, the Consul-General introduced herself and met with members of the Thai community to foster closer ties and provide information on consular services.
