On November 3, 2024 Consul Urasee Thiratangsathira Jeong attended the opening ceremony of the 13th International Ramayana Dance Drama organized by International Ramayana Institute of North America (IRINA) to celebrate the 25th anniversary of cooperation among Ramayana countries in North America namely Thailand, India and Indonesia. The Ramayana is widely recognized as an influential Indian epic that has spread across various regions, including Thailand and Indonesia. While the epic maintains a consistent core narrative, numerous versions have emerged in diverse regional languages, each reflecting the unique cultural contexts of adaptation. This event is held biannually at North Shore Center, Skokie, Chicago and Indonesia was the host. For Thailand, a Thai masked dance-drama known as "Khon" in the episode of "Hanuman Building a Bridge to Lanka" was performed at the event by Thai students and parents of Thai Cultural and Fine Arts Institute of Chicago (TCFAI), and Thailand will be the host of the next International Ramayana Dance Drama in the year 2026.
