On November 7, 2024, Consul General Katanawadee Kalayanamit and Deputy Consul-General Natnapang Damrongsoontornchai, along with Mrs. Suprattana Gamolvej, Director of Thai Trade Center in Chicago and Ms. Anoma Vongyai, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Chicago Office, and staff members, met with Ms. Tanya Zastrow, Executive Director of Olbrich Botanical Gardens, Madison, Wisconsin, to follow up the renovation projects of the Thai pavilion at the Botanical Gardens. The pavilion has been open to the public since October 1, 2024.
 
The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chicago and Team Thailand Chicago also discussed plans to co-organize the Sala Thai Festival and the Loy Krathong Festival in collaboration with the Olbrich Botanical Gardens. These events are scheduled to take place in September 2025.
