On March 23, 2026, Consul-General Bacharee Puengpak, along with consulate official, visited Lansing, Michigan, to meet with Ms. Katelyn Wilcox, Chief of Protocol at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), and Ms. Courtney Henderson, Partner at Due East Advisors, a consulting firm specializing in U.S.–Asia business relations. During the meeting, the Consul-General received briefings from MEDC and Due East Advisors on Michigan’s economic potential, including key target industries, foreign direct investment (FDI), and business support services and facilitation for entrepreneurs. Both sides also discussed ways to further strengthen relations and enhance economic and trade cooperation, particularly in the areas of mobility and electrification, semiconductors, and advanced manufacturing.
