On July 15th, 2024, Ambassador Suriya Chindawongse, Consul-General Katanawadee Kalayanamit, and official from the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Chicago met with Ms. Frances Vavrus, Vice Provost and Dean, International Division and Ms. Maj H. Fischer, Director of External Relations, International Division, University of Wisconsin-Madison to explore the possibilities to expand collaboration between the Thai government and UW-Madison regarding sustainable development, precision agriculture, green economy, medicine and public health, renewable energy, research and innovation, IceCube Neutrino researches, the exchange of facilities and students for preparedness Thai workforce to the targeted industries and to create a suitable environment for investment, especially semiconductor and electric vehicle industries.

The Royal Thai Consulate-General will follow up the progress of these collaboration with the UW-Madison for further concrete achievement.
