On September 14, 2025, Consul Urasee Thiratangsathira Jeong attended the opening ceremony of the Sala Thai Festival 2025 at Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison, Wisconsin.
The festival was jointly organized by Olbrich Botanical Gardens and the Thai Cultural and Fine Arts Institute of Chicago (TCFAI) to celebrate the successful completion of the Sala Thai Pavilion renovation and to promote Thailand further. The event offered people of all ages the opportunity to experience traditional Thai arts and crafts through hands-on activities, including making krathong from banana leaves, crafting pla ta pian (a traditional fish-shaped wind mobile), and learning about the Loy Krathong Festival. Highlights of the program also included booths featuring Thai cuisine and products, Muay Thai (Thai boxing) demonstrations, and vibrant performances of Thai music and dance.
The Royal Thai Consulate-General wishes to extend its sincere appreciation to Olbrich Botanical Gardens, the Thai Cultural and Fine Arts Institute of Chicago, and all volunteers, sponsors, vendors, performers, and participants for their contributions in making the festival a great success.
