On August 29, 2025, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chicago hosted the Third Annual Thai Professors and Students Meet-Up Dinner.
The event began with welcoming remarks by Mrs. Katanawadee Kalayanamit, Consul-General, followed by a presentation on “Internship Report: Summer 2025 at the Office of U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth” by Mr. Jonathan Jaroenkul, a recent graduate of the University of Illinois Chicago, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. This internship program was a collaborative initiative between the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chicago and the Office of U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth. In addition, Mr. Suparit Suwanik, a Ph.D. candidate in Consumer Behavior and Family Economics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, delivered a special lecture on “Decoding the Global Economy, Navigating Thailand’s Path.”
The gathering brought together professors, students, and members of the Thai community. In addition to attending the lectures, participants had the opportunity to engage in networking and enjoy Thai cuisine together. The Consulate-General would like to express its sincere appreciation to guest speakers, professors, students, and all participants once again for attending this event.
