On December 14th, 2024, Consul, Acting Consul-General Urasee Thiratangsathira Jeong attended the event “The Charity for Better and Brighter Eyes” at Wat Dhammaram, Chicago. This event was organized to raise funds to assist people in the southern provinces of Thailand affected by poor visions, poor eye health and in need of refractive lens surgery, hosted by the Thai-American Southerner Association of Illinois. There were around 200 participants to the event from various associations in Chicago, from the State of Illinois and from nearby States.  The Royal Thai Consulate-General, Chicago donated some money to support the charity project and would like to express the gratitude to the organizing committee, volunteers, participants, and all donors for their generous contributions.
