On December 8th, 2024 Consul, Acting Consul-General Urasee Thiratangsathira Jeong attended the ceremony to commemorate the Birthday Anniversary of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej, as well as Thailand's National Day and Father's Day. The significant ceremony was held at Wat Dhammaram in Chicago.

 

In the latter half of the ceremony, Acting Consul-General participated in the ceremony to commemorate Thai National Father's Day and oversaw the award ceremony. This segment honored 71 students from the Sunday School of Wat Dhammaram who had completed courses in Thai language, Thai classical music and Thai classical dance. The event also featured a segment where students had the opportunity to pay respect to their fathers, as well as a segment to recognize the achievements of students in the recitation of Buddhist scriptures. The ceremony was enriched and concluded with Thai classical music and dance performances by the students of the Sunday School.
