On June 10th-11th, 2023, the Royal Thai Consulate-General officials and staff attended the Thai Festival Chicago 2023 in the area of Thorek Memorial Hospital, Chicago.

The Thai Festival Chicago 2023 was organized by the Thai American Association of Illinois in collaboration with the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Chicago, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, New York, and various private sectors.
The event aimed to promote Thailand and strengthen ties with the community. This festival was also a part of activities to celebrate the 190th anniversary of Thailand -US diplomatic relations.

The two-day event offered a variety of Thai food, Thai products and presented diverse cultural activities, such as Thai boxing, Thai music, and dance performances from the Thai Cultural and Fine Arts Institute of Chicago (TCFAI), the Sunday School of Wat Dhammaram, including related contests and fun games from the Thai community.

There were special guests, namely Mr. Todd Thongdee, an American musician who performed with the band "Mekong Delta Blues," and Ms. Waewdao Sirisook, an artist from Chiangmai, Thailand, who performed Lanna's traditional dance and demonstrated the Northern
Thai umbrella painting.
