On March 7, 2025, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chicago hosted a lecture session on "Modern Medicine and Trends in Health Care" to provide information to Thai students and the Thai community in the Midwest. The session featured two key presentations: "The State of Eye Health in the United States: Addressing Common Issues and Future Directions" by Dr. Theinchai Pasurakul and "Good Health Starts with You: Tips for Health Care and NCD Prevention" by Dr. Rabhas Boonyawairote. Both doctors are currently studying and conducting research at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC).

 

The event was attended by professors, Thai students, and members of the Thai community. In addition to sharing important health information, participants engaged in discussions on various health issues, while strengthening and expanding their networks.
