On October 20, 2024, Mrs. Katanawadee Kalayanamit, Consul General, participated in the Kathina ceremony at the Meditation Center of Chicago. The ceremony was presided over by Phra Withetpavanajarn, the Assistant Abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya, the Committee member of the Council of Thai Bhikkhus in the USA, the Abbot of Dhammakaya Internationa Meditation Center, California. The Kathina main contributors are Dr. Timothy Leathers and Dr. Pennapa Manitchotpisit. During the ceremony, the Consul General participated with attendees, both Thais and friends of Thailand, in offering alms to monks, joined the Kathina procession, and engaged in Dhamma discussions with venerable monks.
