On March 17, 2025, Consul-General Katanawadee Kalayanamit warmly welcomed Mr. Lucian-Ilie Stănică, Consul-General of Romania in Chicago, to discuss opportunities for enhancing cultural cooperation, promoting tourism between Thailand and Romania, and strengthening people-to-people ties between the Thai and Romanian communities In Chicago.
During the meeting, Consul-General of Thailand extended an invitation to the Consul-General of Romania to attend the Minnesota Songkran Festival and the Thai Festival in Chicago. She also introduced Mrs. Suprattana Gamolvej, Director of the Thai Trade Center in Chicago, and Ms. Anoma Vongyai, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), to the Consul-General of Romania.
