On September 8, 2024, Consul-General Katanawadee Kalayanamit and Consul Urasee Thiratangsathira Jeong attended a meeting hosted by the Thai American Association of Illinois, along with various Thai associations from Chicago and the Midwest. The meeting focused on organizing a fundraising event to support the Thai Red Cross Society for those affected by the flooding in Thailand. The event is scheduled for September 28, 2024, at Wat Dhammaram in Chicago.
