On March 5, 2026, Consul-General Bacharee Puengpak paid a courtesy call on Consul-General Somnath Ghosh of India in Chicago at the Consulate-General of India. Both sides exchanged views on the well-being of the Thai and Indian communities in Chicago and across the Midwest, and agreed to collaborate on organizing cultural activities together. During the meeting, Consul-General Somnath Ghosh also shared an overview of the opportunities and challenges in performing consular duties in the Midwest region. Consul-General Bacharee was accompanied by Deputy Consul-General Varapol Chensavasdijai.
