On March 23rd, 2024, Deputy Consul-General Natapang Damrongsoontornchai, participated in the Water for Peace Seminar organized by Water and Waste Management (WWM) International on the occasion of World Water Day 2024 in Schaumburg IL.
The speakers included Illinois State, civil society, business, and youth from various related organizations, as well as Thanet Natrisi, Thai groundwater expert and co-developer of “Chonlakorn”, a water management curriculum and many related projects in Thailand. Also, he presented and shared experiences of water management in Thailand.
In the said event, Illinois representative Anna Moeller, Vice President of Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago Patricia Theresa Flynn, and the Deputy Director of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Trade and Investment Margo Markopoulos, have also joined the seminar.
This seminar was organized to celebrate World Water Day to enhance awareness and develop the connection in exchanging knowledge of water conservation and sustainable management. In addition, it promotes collaboration in water management and ensures the quality of life for all.
