On March 8th, 2023, Deputy Consul-General Natnapang Damrongsoontornchai along with the staff from the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Chicago met with Ms. Tanya Zastrow, Executive Director of the Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison, Wisconsin, to present a check for the pavilion restoration project.

The meeting included a site visit to observe the renovation progress. In attendance were Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway, the Olbrich Botanical Gardens Board, University of Wisconsin faculty and scholars, representatives from the Wisconsin Alumni Association, and members of Madison's Thai community. Discussions focused on both the Thai pavilion restoration plans and exploring potential areas for extending cooperation between Thailand and Wisconsin.

Constructed in 2001 and opened to the public in 2002, the Thai pavilion in Madison, Wisconsin, represents a collaboration between the Thai government, the Wisconsin Alumni Association and Foundation, the Olbrich Botanical Gardens, and the Madison community. This pavilion stands as a symbol of the strong friendship and close cooperation at all levels between Thailand and the United States.
