On November 2, 2025, Acting Consul-General Varapol Chensavasdijai and spouse, Consul Urasee Thiratangsathira Jeong, together with Miss Anoma Wongyai Director of TAT, Chicago Office and Mrs. Sirima Yuviengjaya, Deputy Director of TAT, Chicago Office and staff members participated in the Royal Kathina Ceremony at Wat Dhammaram in Chicago.

The Royal Kathina Ceremony was presided over by Somdet Phramahathirachan, the Abbot of Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan and Phra Rajadhammavedhi, the Abbot of Wat Buddha Dhamma, and Dr. Gridsada Jangjaimon was the president of the Kathina ceremony.

During the event, the Acting Consul-General and officials joined the Thai community in the Royal Kathina procession by making merits, offering alms and robes to the monks. Later, the monks blessed the participants to conclude the ceremony.
