On April 8, 2025, Consul-General Katanawadee Kalayanamit, Deputy Consul-General Natnapang Damrongsoontornchai, and Consul Urasee Thiratangsathira Jeong met with representatives from cultural institutions in Chicago, namely the Thai Sunday School at Wat Dhammaram, and the Thai Cultural and Fine Arts Institute of Chicago (TCFAI) to presented a check to support Thai language and cultural learning activities for Thai-American youth in Chicago.

 

On the same occasion, they also discussed the work plan of the recently established Thai Cultural Council of Illinois and its efforts to engage with the Thai community's activities in 2025. The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chicago hosted a working luncheon following the meeting.
