On January 26th, 2024, Consul-General Katanawadee Kalayanamit and Deputy Consul-General Natnapang Damrongsoontornchai met with representatives from cultural organizations in Chicago, namely the Thai Cultural and Fine Arts Institute of Chicago (TCFAI), the Thai Sunday School at Wat Dhammaram, and St. Paul Thai Lutheran Church. The purpose of this meeting was to collectively explore the potential establishment of the Thai Cultural Council of Illinois to seek kind support from the Ministry of Culture of Thailand and aim to bolster Thailand's soft power activities in the United States.
