On June 21st, 2024, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chicago, in collaboration with the Thai Theatre Foundation (TTF), organized the Global Dine-Around: Thai Cuisine and Performing Arts from Mother Earth by Waewdao Sirisook event. The aim was to promote Thai performing arts and Thailand’s soft power in the United States. The event was also part of the 2024 National Conference in Chicago, known as the largest theatre conference in the United States, organized by the Theatre Communications Group (TCG).

 

The event featured Thai cuisine and Thai music performances during the reception, followed by “Lanna in Motion: Spirit and Voice of Nature,” a performance by Miss Waewdao Sirisook, a Lanna performer. On this occasion, Consul-General Mrs. Katanawadee delivered an opening remark before watching the performance and participating in the Q&A session.
