On February 28th, 2024, Deputy Consul-General Natnapang Damrongsoontornchai and the Consulate staff paid a courtesy call on Mr. Matt Pinnell, Lieutenant Governor of Oklahoma, at Oklahoma State Capitol, Oklahoma City, OK, to enhance the relationship and exchange views in strengthening academic and economic cooperation between Thailand and Oklahoma.
 
After the meeting, the delegation visited Cox Automotive Oklahoma City, renowned for its expertise in EV batteries, to meet with Mr. Bryce Cornet, senior logistics manager, for a briefing on battery management and recycling.
On the same occasion, the delegation proceeded to the National Weather Center (NWC) at the University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK, to meet with Mr. Matthew Elliott, storm prediction center officer, for a comprehensive briefing on weather forecasts across the United States. Following this, they visited the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum and met with Ms. Tina Gilland, Chief Experience Officer, for an insightful briefing on the city's museum.
 
The Royal Thai Consulate-General, Chicago, would like to express great appreciation to Ms. Christy Busch and Ms. Sarah Short from the Oklahoma Department of Commerce for facilitating the meetings involving various governmental and private sectors, as well as showcasing Oklahoma's best practices. Such initiatives will enhance relations and elevate cooperation between the two countries.
