On 18-19 April 2026, Consul-General Bacharee Puengpak, together with consulate staff, attended the 2026 Songkran Festival at Wat Phrasriratanaram in Florissant, Missouri. The event was organized by the Thai Association in St. Louis. During the opening ceremony, Mr. Sarayuth Tabtiang, as Chairman of the Organizing Committee, delivered the welcoming remarks. The Consul-General then delivered congratulatory remarks and blessings on the occasion of the Thai New Year, and attended cultural performances presented by teachers and students of the Sunday School of Wat Phrasriratanaram. The Consul-General also met with members of the Thai food and products vendors who participated in the event.
On the same occasion, the Consul-General met with Mr. Suchin Prapaisilp, a Thai entrepreneur, and visited Global Foods Market in Kirkwood, Missouri, to learn about the business operations and to exchange views on ways to promote Thai products in Missouri and throughout the Midwest region.
In addition, the Consul-General met with Thai students studying at Saint Louis University, most of whom are enrolled in business administration, nursing, and medical programs, to learn about their academic experiences and well-being. She also discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Consulate-General, Thai students, and the Thai community in Missouri.
