Consul-General and Delegation Strengthen Economic and Academic Ties in Iowa,

On September 18th, 2024, Consul-General Katanawadee Kalayanamit, Deputy Consul-General Natnapang Damrongsoontornchai, along with Mr. Nanthapol Sudbantad, Director of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) New York Office, and staff visited Iowa to strengthen ties and explore opportunities for expanding economic and academic cooperation between Thailand and Iowa.
 
The delegation met with Mr. Mark Holm, Mayor of Ankeny, Iowa. They also visited IV Nutrition Clinic, a health service provider offering immune resilience drips and nutrient therapy, which is managed by Mrs. Suthiphon Boonyothayan, a Thai entrepreneur.
 
Following this, the delegation visited Power Pollen in Ames, a company specializing in extending the lifespan and preservation of corn pollen to optimize productivity in corn cultivation. The delegation met with Mr. Jason Cope, Chief Executive Officer, to learn about the company’s technology and products.
 
Later, the delegation visited Bayer’s facility in Ankeny, where they met with Mr. David Sevenich, an analytical chemist and team to receive a briefing on the company’s research and development in Crop Science and Precision Genomics.
