เมื่อวันที่ 9 สิงหาคม 2569 นายวรพล เจนสวัสดิชัย รองกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครชิคาโก ได้พบปะหารือกับนางวิไลพร โรจน์ศรีรัตน์ ประธานสมาคมไทยแห่งรัฐแคนซัส และกลุ่มผู้ประกอบการไทย เพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างกัน โดยที่ประชุมเห็นศักยภาพในเรื่องการส่งเสริมอาหารไทย มวยไทย และกิจกรรมด้านวัฒนธรรม

ต่อจากนั้น รองกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้พบกับผู้แทนองค์กร Ethnic Enrichment Commission of Kansas City (EEC) และหน่วยงาน Kansas City Parks & Recreation เพื่อหารือเกี่ยวกับช่องทางต่าง ๆ ที่ไทยจะสมารถเผยแพร่วัฒนธรรมไทยให้เป็นที่รู้จักมากขึ้นในรัฐแคนซัส ทั้งนี้ EEC ประกอบด้วยสมาชิกจากกว่า 70 ประเทศรวมทั้งประเทศไทย

 

Deputy Consul-General of Thailand in Chicago Meets with Thai Community in Kansas and EEC

On 9 August 2026, Mr. Varapol Chensavasdijai, Deputy Consul-General of Thailand in Chicago, met with Mrs. Wilaiporn Rojjanasrirat, President of the Thai Association of Kansas, and a group of Thai entrepreneurs to promote cooperation with each other. The Meeting saw potential for cooperation in many areas including the promotion of Thai food, Thai boxing and cultural activities.

On the same occasion, the Deputy Consul-General also met with representatives from the Ethnic Enrichment Commission of Kansas City (EEC) and Kansas City Parks & Recreation to discuss ways through which Thai culture can be promoted in Kansas. The EEC comprises members from over 70 countries including Thailand.
