เมื่อวันที่ 16 – 17 พฤษภาคม 2569 สภาวัฒนธรรมไทยแห่งรัฐมินนิโซตา ได้จัดงาน Minnesota Songkran Festival 2026 โดยมี นางสาวบาจรีย์ พึ่งพักตร์ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครชิคาโก พร้อมด้วยข้าราชการและเจ้าหน้าที่ทีมประเทศไทย นครชิคาโก เข้าร่วมพิธีเปิดงาน

ภายในงานฯ ได้มีกิจกรรมหลากหลาย อาทิ การจำหน่ายอาหารไทยและสินค้าไทย การสรงน้ำพระ การออกคูหาประชาสัมพันธ์ประเทศไทยและการสาธิตนวดแผนไทย โดยการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย (ททท.) สำนักงานชิคาโก นอกจากนี้ ยังมีขบวนแห่กลองยาว การแสดงนาฏศิลป์และดนตรีไทย การสาธิตมวยไทย และการแข่งขันรับประทานส้มตำ

ในโอกาสเดียวกัน กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครชิคาโก ได้เป็นผู้แทนสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ มอบเงินสนับสนุนให้แก่ นางกรวรรณ ม่วงโมด นายกสภาวัฒนธรรมไทยแห่งรัฐมินนิโซตา เพื่อสนับสนุนการจัดงานดังกล่าว

สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ขอแสดงความยินดีที่การจัดงาน Minnesota Songkran Festival 2026 ประสบความสำเร็จ และได้กลายเป็นงานที่ชาวรัฐมินนิโซตารอคอยเข้าร่วมในทุก ๆ ปี และขอขอบพระคุณคณะผู้จัดงาน วัดพรหมวชิรญาณ ผู้ให้การสนับสนุน คณะนักแสดง และผู้เข้าร่วมงานทุกท่าน เป็นอย่างสูง มา ณ ที่นี้ สำหรับการมีส่วนร่วมที่ทำให้งานในครั้งนี้สำเร็จลุล่วงไปได้ด้วยดี

On 16 – 17 May 2026, the Thai Cultural Council of Minnesota organized the Minnesota Songkran Festival 2026. Ms. Bacharee Puengpak, Consul-General of Thailand in Chicago, together with officials and staff of Team Thailand in Chicago attended the opening ceremony.

The event featured a variety of activities, including Thai food and product vendors, pouring water on a Buddha statue, booths promoting Thai and Thai massage demonstration, organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Chicago Office. The program also included a traditional Thai long-drum parade, Thai classical dance and music performances, Muay Thai demonstration and Som Tum eating contest.

On this occasion, the Consul-General also presented the sponsorship money from the Consulate-General to Ms. Korawan Muangmode, President of the Thai Cultural Council of Minnesota, to support the organizaton of the event.

The Royal Thai Consulate-General would like to express our congratulations on the successful organization of the Minnesota Songkran Festival 2026, an event that Minnesotans eagerly await to join in each year. We would also like to express our heartfelt appreciation to the organizing committee, Wat Promwachirayan, supporters, performers, and all participants for their contributions to this successful event.
